Built in Lilongwe. For everywhere fraud bleeds the system.
SC Tracker was started by people who watched MWK 50 billion a year evaporate from Malawian supply chains โ not through dramatic robberies, but through the quiet arithmetic of "I sent 100, you received 80, the paperwork says 100, nobody can prove otherwise."
Existing logistics software was built by people who never had to argue with a driver at 11pm about why the diesel gauge read full at depot and empty at the destination 80 km later. We did. The system we built makes those arguments unnecessary because the math is on the receipt.
Our design principles, in order:
- Edge-first. A driver in Chitipa with two bars of signal shouldn't experience a different product than a CFO in Sandton.
- Cryptographic over procedural. If a control depends on someone choosing not to be corrupt, it's not a control.
- Free tier means free. No feature crippling. The first time you experience the product, you experience the real product.
- African pricing โ done honestly. Priced so one stopped fraud pays back a year of the platform โ not so cheap it reads as unserious. Real fraud prevention has to look like real fraud prevention. We bill in MWK or USD; you choose.
We're funded by a small group of customers and one development grant. We're not VC-backed and don't intend to be โ the moment you have to grow at 200% YoY to satisfy investors, you start charging African NGOs Silicon Valley prices.
